Bakerzin

This weekend was kinda sucky for me coz I was sick on Friday and totally no mood to plan my weekend, dun even have mood for movies! Except for dinner at Bakerzin on Sat evening, I just lazed at home this whole weekend, resting and blogging.

I was kinda forced to go out yesterday coz I need to get a gift on behalf of my team for my colleague, who had just given birth to a baby girl on 20 Aug 08 (2008 2008).. cool date huh! So Baby and I went to Marina Square to get the stuff. After that we wanted to try Fin Seafood Cafe's fish and chips and when we were there, we were told waiting time was an hour! That was crazy so we decided to cancel our order. We decided to leave Marina Square and headed to Millenia for Bakerzin.

Their menu is getting more and more "Asianised". Anyway we did not go for the Asian food but their set meal:

I dun like the tomato soup coz it was sourish.. Yeah I know tomato soup supposed to be sourish but it's just not my cup of tea lar.. therefore Baby walloped both bowls.

Baby had this Meatball Spaghetti. Ordinary according to him.

I had the Ham & Bacon Aglio Olio. Very garlicky which was perfect coz I love garlics!

I had the profiteroles which was not part of the set menu. Baby had waffles with ice-cream and I did not managed to take picture of that. I still prefer "The French Stall" profiteroles coz the pastry, which is the most important role in this dessert, is nicer.

Bakerzin's set menu cost S$13.80++ which consists of free flow of homemade bread, soup of the day, choice of main course and soft drinks/Italian soda.

We were walking thru Marina Square heading to the bus stop infront of Esplanade and the chaos outside Marina Square surprised us. There were alot, and I really mean alot, of people. The floor was so wet after the rain and everyone just placed their ass down on the staircase. We were kinda curious what was happening coz there were even traffic police controlling traffic on the road. Baby speculated there might be fireworks and true enough after we reached home, we heard the fireworks.

I really have to salute the Singaporean's spirit sometimes... Freaking floor so wet, weather sucked yet none of their spirits were dampened. Hmmmm.. it's just fireworks lor......
