Man on Wire & Ghost of Girlfriends Past

This true story is astounding. I always love watching movies and reading books from true events. Cannot imagine all the things Philippe Petit had to go thru just to fulfil his dreams. I salute his passion! Worth watching if you like documentary.

This one is the usual romantic comedy.. Simple, easy to understand and kinda touching. A nice movie to watch if you need a laugh and light-hearted moment.

George Carlin on age 102

George Carlin's Views on Ageing

Do you realise that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about ageing that you think in fractions.

'How old are you?' 'I'm four and a half!' You're never thirty-six and a half. You're four and a half, going on five! That's the key..

You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.

'How old are you?' 'I'm GONNA BE 16!' You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life .... . You become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony. YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!

But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.

But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.

You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

You GET INTO your 80's and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30 ; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there. INTO THE 90s, you start going backwards; 'I Was JUST 92.'

Then a strange thing happens. If you MAKE IT OVER 100, you become a little kid again. 'I'm 100 and a half!' May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

  1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'

  2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

  3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

  4. Enjoy the simple things.

  5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

  6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

  7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

  8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

  9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

  10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Husky killed by maid!

Maid made this statement on the same day to owner's MIL before incident happened:

"How long is the dog going to live?!"

Thanks Fireopal for sharing this news. Heartbreaking incident..

Watch the CCTV clip of the terrible incident

Owner related her incident in local forum HERE with her replies to responses.
Mentioned in Chinese forum HERE
You can listen to the news HERE (Actual news article HERE)

I felt really sad. From the husky, Star, Dogster's profile, I realised he was abused before by ex-owner. This dog had been thru so much and in the end suffered a worse fate... I almost teared reading his profile and news article. And very pissed when I saw the maid's face.. EVIL!! That's the reason why I'm always against having a full time maid at home. Thou these bad apples are minority but you never know what's installed for you so I rather not take the chance and risk.

Condolences to Star's owner.. I'm sure he appreciated your love and what you had done for him. He will be happier at the rainbow bridge...

R.I.P. Star..

Whoever did this did a great job in matching the kids and dogs.. so cute...

A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift.

A friend is someone we treasure for our friendship is a gift.

A friend is someone who fills our lives with beauty, joy, and grace.

And makes the world we live in a better and happier place.

There is a miracle called friendship, that dwells in the heart. You do not know how it happens or when it starts.

But you know the special lift it always brings. You realize that friendship is the world's most precious gift!

Let old friends know you haven't forgotten them, and tell new friends you never will.

Would like to take this opportunity to thank all my friends who had been there for me during my lowest point and share the joy during my happiest moments. I'm glad to have you guys in my life :)

And of course my lovely darling Georgi for being with me during the good and the bad times for the past 4 years.. For also taking my nonsenses many a times.. such as irritating him like tickling his ears and butt, pinching his fat cheeks, kissing him non stop, hugging him like a teddy bear, whispering into his ears like he understood me, and many more annoying acts..

Knowing that he will always greet me with a smiley face and innocent marble like eyes, happily wagging his pong pong tail, pick up a toy and invite me to play, whenever I come home from work, simply melts my heart even on a super lousy day... I cannot imagine my life without this lovely boy.

Human friendships are cool but none can compare with canine friendships. The kinda joy one experience with canines is unexplainable and unforgettable.

That's why he is the Love of my Life....

Thank you my Gboy....

Drag Me To Hell

For the first time, the whole family caught a movie together. We watched DRAG ME TO HELL at GV Grand.

K was so scared she was curling herself up on the seat, with ears covered and eyes closed. Typical kind of people that claimed they love horror movies and yet afraid to watch.. haha.. IMO, I thought it was a serious horror show from the trailer, did not expect to see some comical and silly scenes, which was kinda a let-down for me. Other than that, overall was quite a good and entertaining horror flick.

Random: I saw Yvonne Lim (林湘萍) when we had dinner at Crystal Jade. She was with a guy but I could not see clearly and dunno who that person was. I only know she is really pretty in person. Flawless complexion!

Georgi's Bday Outing

Brought Georgi on a full day outing yesterday for his birthday. Itinerary was simple. Tanjong Beach, grooming at Vivo and a nice dinner for him at K9 Kafe @ Turf Club Road.

So coincidentally also saw Shiro's Mummy at Vivo and Bubbles & Mummy at K9 Kafe.
Below were some of Georgi's moments at the beach. He was not very active thou.. guess weather's the culprit...

Some black and white moments..

He was damn tired after the whole day and slept a lot in between car rides with the aircon blasting at him... Not sure if he had fun but I'm sure it was one of the most tiring days for him... hehe
