Very innovative advertising company!

HEMA is a Dutch department store. The first store opened on November 4, 1926, in Amsterdam. Now there are 150 stores all over the Netherlands . Take a look at HEMA's product page. You can't order anything and it's in Dutch, but just wait a couple of seconds and watch what happens.

**Don't click on any of the items in the picture, just wait and see...

Turn on the speakers! Enjoy the ad!

Lady Gaga Album - WORTH!

Recently I have been listening to Lady Gaga's "The Fame" album and I think most or rather all of her songs (IMO) inside this album are nice! Usually one would find only a couple of nice songs and the rest sucks... how often do you get so many nice songs in one album? Her album is totally worth buying.

The best part: Got all her songs free. Not illegal downloads hor.. but got all of them ripped out free from K's copy coz she is crazy over Lady Gaga now.. scrimped and saved and bought her album.. haha.. Good for me..

Lady Gaga reminded me of Gwen Stefani. If you like Pop/Dance/Electronic music, I guess you would like hers. Here's an intro to her songs in "The Fame" album:

A Perspective On Understanding One Another...

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the pups and set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard.

As he was driving the last nail into the post, he felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the eyes of a little boy.

Mister,' he said, 'I want to buy one of your puppies.'

'Well,' said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, 'These puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money.'

The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. 'I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?'

'Sure,' said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle. 'Here, Dolly!' he called.

Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by all the little balls of fur. The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight. As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse. Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up....

'I want that one,' the little boy said, pointing to the runt.

The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, 'Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would.'

With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe. Looking back up at the farmer, he said, 'You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands.'

With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup. Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.

'How much?' asked the little boy.

'No charge,' answered the farmer, 'There's no charge for love.'

Sunshine Cleaning, The Haunting in Connecticut & Harry Potter The Half Blood Prince

Movies watch last weekend...

Nice story on the unusual cleaning business, funny and moving at times with the focus on family ties. Very dialoguey movie so if you are an action sucker, this movie is not for you.

The whole story looked OK coz of the fact that it was based on a true story.. A couple of jumpy moments for me and that's about it... I would think if it wasn't based on a true event, it should have been quite a flop. And I still dun understand what's with the hide & seek in the house. Do all Ang Mohs like to play such things at home when they have nothing better to do??

Baby and I went for the Gala Premier yesterday at Shaw Lido.

In the past, Gala Premier used to be a damn big thing. People dressed up and all for such events. Now the word "Gala" is so overused that nobody actually dresses up anymore. The whole Lido was closed for this event. There was a tight yet not so tight security. All electronic items, which have recording purposes, were required to surrender, but we still could hear mobile phone ringing in the cinema... haha.. Super distracting with a handful of security guards walking up and down the hall and people walking in and out of the toilet.

Saw many celebrities like Zoe Tay & hubby, Pan Ling Ling & family, Hong Hui Fang & family, Adrian Pang & family, Edmund Chen & family, Jade Seah, Amy Cheng etc. I'm sure there were many more which we missed out.

Half Blood Prince was witty, funny and visually a feast as with the other series but it's darker this time. Harry, as well as the movie, had really grown up! Heard clapping and cheering on a number of crowd-pleasing moments. And I did not know it ended until the credit rolled. The not-so-great finish was the only disappointment, otherwise I enjoyed the movie as it is.

Duplicity

DUPLICITY is witty, stylish and clever but a little tricky and confusing during the flashbacks. Whole movie was a brainteaser until everything made sense in the end. Not bad a movie with a nice plot.

Some people!

Why are there people on this earth who like to do stupid and redundant things? Especially when I'm ASKED to do such things! What is their definition of EFFICIENCY??? By wasting my TIME?!

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Caught a free screening of TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN last Fri.

Other than the good humour, everything else was very messy and confusing. Storyline also not great. Yet again another one of those lousy movie sequels.
